General Information and Resources
This page contains documents and information for existing Alkire Townhomes homeowners. Because some of the information is not publicly accessible, you may need to log in with your registered Google account in order to see all the sections on this page.
Alkire residents can use the online forms submit requests for repair or improvement to the Board for review. You will need a Google account in order to fill out either form. If you don't have a Google account, you can create a new Google account, or download and print a form that can be filled by hand and mailed directly to the HOA. Note that hand delivered requests may take longer to process.
Improvement Requests are used to obtain permission from the Board for a homeowner to make an improvement (at the owner's expense) to the property or exterior of their unit. All exterior improvements and/or upgrades must be Board approved in advance.
Examples: Upgrading windows, installing a satellite dish, etc.
Repair requests are used to submit a request for repair directly to the HOA Board. The board will review the request to determine it's priority, as well as if and when the repair should be done based on the current budget and the number of pending requests. If the repair is completed, we will send you a notification.
Examples: Broken sprinkler heads, overflowing gutters, etc.
Waste collection is provided by Summit Waste and Recycling. Their contract is not with you individually, but with the HOA. Therefore, if you have any issues, please contact the HOA, who can contact the waste management company on your behalf.
Trash day is every TUESDAY. Pick-up can happen as early as 7:00 am. You can put your trash out the night before, and it should be brought back to its normal storage location within 24 hours after pickup.
Recycle waste is collected every-other week, on the same day as regular trash is picked up. We are on recycling schedule "B". You can view the recycling schedule calendar here to see which weeks will include collection of recyclable materials.
If trash pick-up day happens to fall on one of the listed holidays, your trash will be picked up the following day instead. The Board will usually send an email reminding everyone of the shifted schedule.
While rare, inclement weather and other events could also delay service. If the Board becomes aware of any such delays, we will notify residents by email.
Place your trash bin in the street, just off the curb, where you might otherwise park a car. Please do not block the sidewalks. Also, be sure to avoid putting your trash on a sprinkler head, generally located near the corners of the grass lawn. Finally, ensure your trash cart is secured in anticipation of high winds, heavy drainage currents (yes, they will float away), and wild animals.
The four main items you can recycle are:
Paper, such as paper towel or toilet paper roll inserts, newspaper, office paper, and cardboard.
Plastics, such as water bottles, detergent bottles, and rinsed out dairy containers.
Metal, such as soup cans, soda & beer cans, and metal lids. E-Waste (see below) is prohibited.
Glass, such as wine bottles and even more wine bottles.
At the waste management company's request, the following items are expressly prohibited from being placed in your recycling cart:
Batteries
Wood
Plastic bags
Leaves, branches, or grass
Styrofoam
Food
The following items are considered E-Waste and are not permitted in either your regular trash bin or your recycling bin:
Televisions (tube & flat)
Computers (CPU’s)
Monitors
Laptops
Video Game Consoles
VCR’s
DVD Players
Radio & Stereo Systems
Printers & Fax Machines
Any video display device 4” or larger diagonally
Under Colorado law, electronic waste (E-Waste) cannot be disposed of with your regular trash or your recycling – it requires special pick-up and handling by the waste management company. If you have a sizable amount of E-Waste you wish to dispose of, please contact the HOA so that we can schedule a special collection date for it. We will then notify all homeowners so they can also take advantage of that date too. The HOA is charged by the pound for all E-Waste collected, so if your electronic devices still function, please consider donating them to an organization that can make use of them.
We love pets! We don't love stepping in poo. Whether you are a homeowner or a tenant, it is your responsibility as a pet owner to pick up after your pet at all times, every time. Please do your part to make the grounds pleasant for all to enjoy. As a reminder, the City of Lakewood has a leash law, so please don't allow your pet to wander off-leash.
For the safety of all homeowners, please be aware that any pets considered to be “dangerous animals” (as determined by the Board) may be prohibited.
Monthly assessments (dues) are $445 per residence. The balance is due on the 1st day of each month. Late fees will apply if not paid by the 20th.
